I'm home from Phoenix (actually, Chandler), AZ where I spent Thanksgiving with my sister and my brother-in-law and their kids. It was a great turkey day - good food just like mom used to make, good company and fun with the pets, lol.
I have a pic or two, but only that; seems I didn't know that when you buy a new camera, the ion battery doesn't have much charge in it, so I took my brand new Kodak M381 digital camera with me, but I didn't take the charger! Argh. The battery went 'low' fairly quickly and I only managed to take a few pics. Sigh. I am SO NOT A CAMERA PERSON, lol! But I do love the new camera!
I had to post another picture though. This one is quite old, ahem, and is what brought about the title of this post. Time does fly; one minute you're in school and the next minute, you're old ;-)
But the pictures live on and capture moments in time that even the mind forgets. This is one of my favorite pictures of me and my brother and sister. It's one of those posed family things done at Olan Mills Studio (are these studios in other states? I grew up in Western PA and they were there, but I don't know if they are known elsewhere or even if they still exist. Just imagine a Sears photoshoot ;-))
My dad carried this in his wallet forever and it never fails to crack me up. I am the youngest and in the middle - my sister Susan is on the right and my brother John is on the left. I don't know exactly how old we are here, but I would estimate that I am about 5? If so, then Susan is 9 and John is 8. Hey Susie, is there a date on the back of the picture?
Susan had the picture at her house and she scanned it for me and emailed it over. I am so tempted to make little photogifts with this, lol. It's so adorable ;-)
Without further ado, here we are!!
