I have a new header thanks to Patty (shadopath )!! She made this glorious header from that awesome picture I posted in the previous entry.
Isn't he pretty? Sigh. I also expanded the size of my header in order to fit all of Jared - he's a big boy, ya know? :-)

jarjen recently posted some Dallas Con 08 pics and one of them from the breakfast caught my eye. We all remember Jared flashing a bit when he was too hot, lol, but this one was when he was either opening or closing his belt after playing with the ice packs, I think. Anyway, I cut Jim out of the pic (sorry Jim!) and tried to cut most of the lady out who was standing behind them and got this result.
Wouldn't it be neat to have a standee of this in your house? ROFL!
Yikes. I love how he is looking right at the person who took the picture (sorry, I don't know who it is, Jarjen said she found the pics and didn't know either).

Yes, the shirtless wonder has once again surfaced in a behind the scenes photo from the filming of Friday the 13th, lol.

I can't imagine how he would explain this one as being 4  in the morning and goofy - looks like normal work hours to me ;-)

Snagged this from another live journal - seems I need to go north more, lol.
But to be fair, some of the states I marked off were airport layovers or conventions where I didn't leave the hotel, so yeah, I'm not such a traveler after all ;-) But still, I at least have physically BEEN in all of these states, which is pretty cool. I grew up in PA and have lived in CA for many years, so I pretty much spanned the country!

Hello folks - whoever reads this thing anyway!

shadopath and I talked about posting the link to this blog and decided we would each put an entry on our ljs. This guy was a childhood friend of Jared's in San Antonio and his blog has tales of adventures and picture albums. There are a few tales about Jared and Jeff and Megan and Sandy and pictures as well.
I agree with Patty (shadopath) that many Jared fans might not know about the blog and it's a shame. It's a public blog, however, he does have a member section and he asks that things in that part not be reposted. I hope that folks obey that rule. Many of the cute pics that have surfaced lately of Jared with his dogs and from when he was younger are from this site - you can find them in  the album section.
It is apparent  that Eric hasn't had much contact with Jared lately - in fact, he doesn't seem aware  that the show is still on the air or that Jared and Sandy are broken up. So, much of  the stuff is dated, but the tales of the past are fun to read. I haven't seen anything negative about Jared, but I am not a member, so I haven't read  the member site adventures ;-)
It's just a fun place to explore to get a small glimpse into Jared's younger days through the eyes of one of his friends.

Just got back a few hours ago from the LA Creation Con and I am way too tired to post a report. I have to find all the other goodies myself from other folks, but I am going to do that tomorrow. Tonight is for resting and trying to recover from an AMAZING con. I can say  this: I have never seen Jensen like  this, lol. Jared was his normal adorable, funny, lovable self, but Jensen? I want a bottle of whatever happy pills he took ;-) He was super animated, funny, open and even instigated many of the funny moments instead of just watching and reacting to Jared's antics, which is what he usually would do in previous cons.
Patty and I (Hi Patty!!!) had an amazing  time. The photo ops - oh god, heaven is having Jared give  you a full front hug and spending a few wonderful seconds with your head buried in his chest, hee hee. More on this in my full report ;-)

The new SPN magazine came  today, it's #9, and there is an article in it about the Creation Con last November. They had the boys pose with each other for a photoshoot just like we get with them  ;-) It's adorable!
Sorry for the big old letter P at the left, but I couldn't get the clone stamp tool to work like it should in Paint.net, so I didn't want to crop out  most of Jared's arm in order to get rid of the letter ;-)
I did leave in the caption that says that Creation had them pose for it.
I must say that I could have sworn I saw some icons of this pic recently and thought it was a manip! I thought someone had taken their own photoshoot and cropped out themselves and inserted the other 'J' ;-)  But as you can see, it is definitely their hands over the other's shoulder in the pic. So CUTE!

Here goes:

Jared on the big screen is made of win!

WOW, saw Friday the 13th yesterday, TWICE, as Patty mentioned in her lj, lol. Let me explain, hee hee. I had bought us tickets for the 2:50 show at a theater here in San Jose that USED to be nice, but has since become old and decrepit. I didn't realize that since I rarely go to the movies. The screen was small, the picture was even a bit blurry! EGAD! I was so disappointed and annoyed at myself for picking this theater...grrr. So, even though it was AMAZING to see Jared on the big screen, the movie itself seemed murky and not crisp to look at all. 
Now, we had planned to go on one of the special Friday the 13th flashlight tours of  The Winchester House right afterwards (the house is right next to the theaters) since we thought, oh cool would that be - a spooky tour of the WINCHESTER  Mystery House on Friday the 13th, etc. But once the movie was over, we got in my car and at some point we looked at one each other and Patty said something like, 'I can't wait to see it again' and I said, 'let's go to the mall now and see it - the theaters are newer and nice', so we bagged  the Mystery  House and drove down to the mall near my apartment. Once we found parking - yikes - we got in, bought a ticket for the 6:40 showing (it was on two screens there) and ate some dinner. Then we went in to see it again and MAN, OH MAN, did it make a difference!! The screen was bigger, the image was crystal clear and the sound was even better! WHOO HOO! In fact, as Patty said in her lj, there were some lines of dialogues and brief scenes where we would look at each other and say, 'did we hear this before?', hee hee. But in all honesty, I think that was because in the first viewing we were too much in shock over seeing Jared on the BIG FREAKING SCREEN to concentrate on scenes that he wasn't in ;-)) So, the scenes we sort of zoned out on? Yep, ones without Jared. Hey, I admit it, I'm an unapologetic fangirl ;-) But we did hear everything in the second  viewing and when I say 'viewing', can I get shallow here for a minute? OMG, holy crap on a cracker, that boy looked amazing! If Sam looked like that on the show, well, televisions would combust, lol. The jeans, the t-shirt, the hair, the stubble...man, he is a vision ;-))
I am no follower of the F13 movies - in fact, I have never seen one before, but I do know all about them - so I am not going to compare this to the others. I thought it was a lot of fun - humor (Chewy was hilarious!), creative killing, scary, creepy parts, all you want in a slasher flick and it at least had a plot and motivations. The characters weren't cardboard and there was genuine regret and sadness when some of them bought  the farm ;-)
After the movie, we got some ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery in the mall (yeah, ice cream when it was freaking freezing outside! Even though we were in San Jose, it does get cold here sometimes ;-), but the ice cream was delicious.  Then we came back to my apartment and Patty left to go home.
It was a grand time!!
Oh and I can't forget to mention that we celebrated Christmas late and exchanged gifts and I have to shout this - PATTY GOT ME THE SPN BLANKET WITH THE GORGEOUS PHOTOS OF THE BOYS ON IT!!!!! Holy crap, I love that thing! It is on the back of my couch and I can cuddle in it or just stare at the gorgeous thing. She also got me my favorite scented candle in the world, which is hard to find since  the stupid company stopped making them. Patty, you're a star! The gifts are the best ever!! Thank you again, so much ;-))

And now for something completely different but related to F13. The cast did a goth photoshoot and Jared's gallery went up on a webpage. Holy crap...I am loving the eyeliner ;-)

P.S. I want to use the sparkle generator here, but the damn thing won't work in my  lj! Argh. I used it when responding on Patty's lj, but here it just shows up as a big url.....
Oh well, maybe I need a new style for my journal or something....
